Anti-male bias runs throughout the mainstream media and also, to a lesser extent, the conservative alternative media. The media provides a terribly stilted view of issues such as divorce and child support, domestic violence, child abuse, and men's and women's contributions to their families. Prominent examples include: media coverage of the Clara Harris 'Murder by Mercedes' Case; numerous child support enforcement publicity campaigns against so-called "deadbeat dads"; and the "lazy husband" myth currently being used to explain the decline of marriage.

For the most-part, it's anti-straight-white male bashing on TV, especially commercials and sitcoms, if you're not gay, you're just a fat, beer-drinking doofus slob who can't do anything right.

For the most part however, it you're a black male, or a gay male and of course a women, then you have all the brains and common sense in the world and life is good.

Not one youtube vid inspiring men to be better men - not masters, not slaves - strong conscientious adults. You pick rare cases and quote studies on college kids being equally as violent. Those are the ONLY studies showing eqaul hitting, not murder and grievous bodily harm. You are lying. REAL domestic violence happens when the woman has children. That's when she's vulnerable. WOmen are hearing all this mra shit & just backing away from men in droves. I hardly know any who want a man these days.

Why do you have to be a bad guy or a fool, WHy aren't there any men on youtube counselling men to be strong conscientious men. Why do you always think you have to be master or slave. Amy WInehouse was RUINED emotionally by her fathers 10 year affair when she was a child. He then ran off with the woman so Amy spent all those years hurting and yes she tried to numb it with drugs and booze. So many women destroyed by male selfishness.

I get pissed off with double-standards in the media too. I would say though, the Carrie Underwood music video isn't a great example. If you watch Justin Timberlake's video for Cry Me A River you see Justin breaking and entering into an ex's house, damaging property whilst singing about his anger at being dumped and his wish to make his ex cry, filming himself getting it on with someone else in her house and generally being a creepy stalker. Nobody seemed to mind that music video.
