  • Those are not fuel pods hung on the inboard pylons of the external stores system. They are a combination weapon system containing a 30mm cannon and five 3.5 in rockets. Anyone who still refers to the Blackhawk as a lawn dart is an idiot. The flaw In the stabilator system was found and fixed a long time ago. I challenge anyone to name any military aircraft that didnt have unforeseen design flaws when it first came into service. Remember the Marines that died while they were testing the Osprey?
