Dave, love your stuff. I have a question regarding compasses, Being a former military man, I am curious as to why you dont use a Military Lensatic compass? I am looking at shelling at for a decent compass and could use the opinion =) Thanks

Bucks Buck Tool Model/series 360, my choice bought new in '96 made in USA no rust, super sharp. No longer made, but go buy a used one IF you can find they are available sometimes. I would not part with mine. Fishing buddy's new leatherman almost lasted on a three day fish trip/campout. I would not trust my life to a L-man or G-ber [all CHINA made crap].

Whats is the exact name of that compass Dave and about how much? I'm lookin into purchasing one but seen a few ranger compasses out there and wasn't sure which one to get...money is not an issue when it comes to good gear..I will save and sacrifice for it! Thanks.

I bought the haversack from the pathfinder school, they sew the logo right through both layers of the flap out of laziness, taking away 40% of the flaps storage capacity. Stupid way to sew a bag Dave. Please fix that.
