I thought it was a music video hence the title 'Locomotion' earlier. And the gravestone for the scrapped Engine No. 9 really scared me when it said 'He was late...once...too often, and the thought of steam engines being scrapped really, really, really, really haunts me in bed at night...somehow.

I remember seeing this when I was a little kid growing up in Michigan. It was on a tape with lots of other short pieces, but this one was the only one I watched more than once. Thanks for the memories! :)

That scrap part may give me nightmares as I have strong feelings for steam locomotives and I have replicas of those who never escaped the cutter's torch such as Stanier's 'Home Guard' and Fowler's 2-6-4 Class 4P. That's why I formed the Kenilworth Preservation Railway; I work there.
