  • I love what both Malfitano and Price did with this role. Brava ladies!

  • Fabulous singing. My goodness.

  • @craigenputtock

This is different from the Elizabeth Taylor movie style acting, isn't it craigenputtock? Malfitano is a trained classical actress, dancer AND singer! Your ignorance is refreshing, however.

  • @craigenputtock She is working , not in a television show. She is producing sound to fill the house. She is interpeting the role to the best of her ability. And doing a wonderfull job. She has to concentrate first and formost on her singing.

  • the acting is HORRENDOUS! iS SHE SERIOUS OR THIS A JOKE?

  • A seriously under-rated opera and significantly different from the opera that opened the "new" Met.

  • A riveting performance.

  • Chicago pulled off an operatic coup: eclipsed most of The Met telecasts and proved how potent is Barber's magnificent opera. The entire cast and production is nothing short of sensational and I have it beautifully preserved first on a Beta VCR recording and later transferred to a DVD format. One of my treasured operatic experiences. Thank you Chicago, Malfitano et. al.

  • Absolutely stunning singing from Ms. Malfitano and whoever the mezzo is. Samuel Barber would have been proud. Brava!

  • Honey , well....thank you very much, I let you know when I be in the other side of the bridge ... if you want ¿you could join me? It would be great...honey..

  • Per piacere, honey! I was merely joking. Go build a bridge to Valhalla and get over yourself!
