  • Not with WD40. It will cause dents.

  • Yes you can but the tumbler media tends to get caught in the primmer pocket and it can be hard to get out.

  • Hey buddy this looks like a really good press. Im going to buy the old man one for x-mas. One thing that I saw was when you were putin the primer in you put your thumb over the top of the brass. If for some reason one were to go off this could be a bad deal for your thumb. Not to be an a hole or anything, I just thought it might give you something to think about. Keep up the good work!

  • No holing here. I appreciate the comment and concern. And you are right. It would be bad news. Can't say that I have not developed some bad habits over the years. Having said that, safety is very important and I appreciate your pointing it out, not just for me, but for others as well.

  • Wow...im looking in to reloading my own ammo soon...and this video helped me a lot. What should I expect to spend on all the gear needed to reload 9mm and 45acp?

  • Great video. I have a rcbs single die press. Just went to carbide dies and have ran 1000 rounds of 357 with no lube and so scarring of the brass at all. Anyone just starting out lee has a starter kit for 175. Some say reloading is to time consuming but its more a passion and and if done right the only rounds I use in comp. Are my own. Happy reloading

  • Psycho

  • Wow you have very lengthy procedures. What would you do if you had 100 rounds of reloads?

  • Using a tumbler and media to clean de-primed brass risks pieces of media stuck in the flash hole, which normally be removed by the de-priming pin. This can cause misfires.

  • Moiecol, yes, you can de-prime first, using a de-priming only die (don't use a standard de-priming/sizing die, as the dirty brass will scratch and damage the re-sizing surfaces) then you can clean with an ultrasonic water based cleaner, but you'll need to wait for the cases to dry

  • Always need classic rock playing while reloading ammo. =)

  • Can you de-prime first ? Then clean both casing and primer pocket at the same time in the tumbler ?

  • Can you de- prime first ? Then put the casing in the tumbler, so that it cleans both casing and primer pocket at the same time

  • Great video. Thanks for the information.
