this is a water simulation showin the nvidia physx accelerator and regular physics processing, there is a big difference.
You can get the nvidia power pack and run your own simulations at the following link: http://www.nvidia.com/content/graphicsplus/us/download.asp

Recommended video cards, chosse a card then hit the specs to see if it is physx ready:

  • Nice vid man,It needed a bit more Details, but good job!

  • thanks, i tried to make it simple

  • I cannot find the "Real PhysX card" But from what i have herd they have PhysX in the newer Nvidia Graphics cards.

What Card should i buy to do PhysX?

  • basically any of the newer cards, i suggest getting about a gb of vdeo memory since it will no be doing the physics as well as the graphics, although not many games take advantage of this at the moment but soon most games will require this for the full enjoyment of the game

  • hmm... ok so...

Wich of the cards do you use and why?

Can you reccomend any specific card?

  • i use an 8800 get with 512 mb of ram, its a good card and will run basically anything i throw at it maxed out, with a few small exceptions. It all depends on ur budget, i highly recommend at least 512 mb of vid memory although u should aim for 1 gb vid memory. click the more info box on the right of the video, i have added a link showing a place with recommended video cards.

  • love it

  • Portal 2 is the first game to have real fluid and each particle is up to 1 meter in diameter. but it probably isn't GPU accelerated.

  • Thanks for the vid it was really informative

  • will this game work with anything else than Nvidea?

  • Where can i find the download for the PhysX Accelaration driver?

  • i got 30 fps on this. it looks totally osum! also there is a screensaver using physx , mass physics, water and clothes.

  • Hey, Don't you need a special card or chip made by AGEIA?

Or are those chips embedded into the NVidia GPU now?

  • MADE IN CHINA

  • While I like realtime rendering improvements for things such as this I'd still use prerendered graphics for the majority of the development except for the final touchup work. Especially on things such as fluids unless you directly interact with the fluid.

  • i do not have multiple pci express slot on motherboard...anyway i know about this technique, but nvidia is going to disable this feature too
