If Ari Vatanen were driving the Audi, he would have had an advantage of waaaaaay more than just 7 seconds. The Audi Quattro Sport is definitively the best rally car ever.

It was a hollow victory because their main rivals Audi did not take part in 1988. Audi were unbeaten in Pikes Peak unlike Peugeot who WERE beaten
