Freeze the over ripe ones for pudding, breads, muffins, pancakes, and smoothies. Dehydrate what you can. Use the peels to shine up your leather shoes, banana oil is good for that except suede. Compost the waste. You can also freeze the fresh ones for smoothies. Fresh doesn't seem to have as strong as a flavor as over ripened to bake with. Fresh ones go great with bananas foster dessert. Also to cook like plantains. Fried bananas, dipped in corn dog like breading & deep fried. Wish you luck with

Did you know that if the bananas ripen on the plant they tast even better, thats because thats when they start to pull the sugars from the plants, in fact thats true with all fruits I know it's true because I've done the test to tast it for myself. I live on an island were bananas are used in many dishes, you can boil them when they are still green and eat them with olive oil and some fish, like tuna or other types of fish you may like.

for those of you who want to grow bananas, the climate has to be from 70-80F for them to grow leaves, and 80-90 to flower. some places in the US are california, florida, hawaii, kansas, texas, and most southern states. Or if you were to grow indoor, it could be mostly anywhere.

@stardustdragon111 As far as I know, the banana stalks don't produce seeds... Instead, they produce a single pod of bananas and die - but not before 1-3 new baby stalks grow at the base of the mother plant (which ultimately gets chopped down). We've successfully dug up the baby stalks and transplanted them to another yard - so maybe you can find someone that has some they can share? You also need a tropical growing climate & lots of water. Hope that helps! God Bless! ~ Erika
