Dr. Thornton uses the terms "inclusive" and "progressive" recurrently in both his book, Inclusive Christianity: A Progressive Look at Faith, as well as his videos on this site. In this introduction, he defines the nature of an inclusive and progressive Christian.

  • Respect and love for other people/paths seeking God is entirely correct, but that does not mean we must AGREE with them.

    The comment on others 'ransacking the Bible' for passages to prove a point is interesting, because how then can it be said that 'everyone is acceptable'?

    Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)

    ...small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:14)

  • Why are there not more Christians like this guy? These are the Christians who help society, not bring harm to it.
