  • That makes sense. Now how will you explain wave movement NO CONTACT strikes ????????????

  • We won't because if you make no contact there is no strike and all this stuff of "touchless knockouts" etc is either fake or mind games were the person knocked down believes it will, so it does. Systema is an anchient art based on simple physics and it is to bad that people associate it with nonsense. Some of the drill involve a touchless exchange between two or more parties, but they don't hurt, no one feels anything, they are just to learn how the body moves.

  • It really does make a lot of sense when you think about it. I never ever thought about how much a human arm weight. But yea, cut off an arm and club someone with it and lights out. Very cool thanks for making it very simple.

  • the idea of using the arm,or the hole body as a kind of hammer is fazinating...

  • he is good at it also, he has shurk the movement of the whole body, to were you can't even see it, he is very good

  • i understand what he is trying to say about relaxing, but to me, it looks like a chinese

theory, called 6 harmoneys, this is were the whole body relaxes and uses the whole body, to work together, with the main six joints with relax power, to produce a very strong strike that uses no phisical force

  • cool, that actually makes some sense

  • In taiji this ability is called "shuai" and is a relatively closely guarded secret. The force is like being hit with a dead blow hammer. Buy Val's DVDs to learn more. As a fellow Systema instructor (who unfortunately hasn't met Val yet but can recognize a quality instructor when I see one), Val's clearly the real deal. I hope to train with him one day!

  • yer think this is called 'dead wieght'? or somethin, pretty shure more of the body is used like this than just the arm tho.. nice vid

  • Vals DVDs are on the way.:-)
