i do the same thing the padietrais or how ever u spell it foot doctor told me 2 do that, only other way is 2 get it cut out like u said but not every one has the luxury of health cover time and time off work
This will just make your ingrown toe nail worse by the way, Soak your feet in warm water with baking soda or epsom salts for 10-20 minutes everyday. and let the nail grow out, then cut it straight across. if that does not remedy the situation then you need surgery to get the nail shard removed.
Seriously No one should be following this guy's advice! Its all so wrong; cutting your nails like that is the reason you get ingrown toenails, plus you should never use clippers. If your gonna cut your nail it should be a straight cross along the top but not too short; if you get an ingrown toenail you need to seek help from your doctor. This guy is just so stupid and telling others to do this is wrong otherwise you'll end up in this situation too.
REALLY bad advice. They keep coming back because you're tearing your nails dude. I had mine for a long time and it got better once I stopped tearing it. DON'T tear the nail. Just go to the doctor.
