Thanks for the stars, man! Have you checked out my other videos, featuring my band playing live blues in pubs. Hopefully there'll be some new ones on there soon. We've got a new guitarist too,

Yeah, wish I had his money. PS have you seen my other videos of my band playing gigs in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. Please type in Jason North Blues and enjoy. If you like 'em, please leave a comment, and maybe a star? Cheers mate, Jase

It's just a 2002 standard, but got a lovely maple tiger top and a great tone and feel. Have got rid of the SLP now but have a jtm 45 which is still really loud but more reasonable for smaller gigs/ home use.

great song!! great sound!! what s your les paul historic?
sounds good
would you prefer the '59 plexi or the jtm?
which gives that zeppelin crunch?

I never had them both together, so didn't do a side by side test. I guess tonally they're quite similar, but being 100 watt the SLP could be heard from a mile away and the JTM from a half a mile away. This also meant that the crunch you're after could be achieved at lower volumes. Both nice though. Wish I still had the SLP. I now have a 2204 JCM 800 and a Marshall 2150 'baby marshall' 1x12 JMP 100 combo. Jason North Blues Band is still playing live. See my videos on here, and check out myspace

If you play the thick e string open, and hammer on the a string from fret 9 to 11 whilst rooting your index finger on the 9th fret (strings d,g and b) you should get a nice droning e chord. Then put your little finger on the b string at the 12th fret. Then for the a chord, just move everything down a string apart from the 12th fret b. This gives you the movement between the e to a chords. The b chord is fretted in the usual way but with a 6th, then same for the a chord 2 frets down... voila! Jay
