well the difference is that a sophisticated driver in the rwd m3 couldn't out maneuver the cops in sticky, congested, tight weaving metro city roadways nearly as well as he could in the awd rs4. change this to an interstate-esque setting and they would perform almost identical. i would rather have the rs4 as a matter of personal preference but i truly love both. throw in the lexus isf and you have 3 of my favorite automobiles.

Go buy Kia spectra, no need to drift it push it in corners etc. AWD has never been superior nor as fun to drive, all(ALL) awd drive cars have no soul or passion they are the "pu55ys" of sports car, always have been. Th reason why people buy a sports car is to "feel" it not so they can be "allowed" to take a corner but f**king take it and control it. Try doing that with an rs4(2004 s4 in my case)
