Hi, just bought a CBR400 NC23, actually wanted a NC30 but was out of my price range. Got some more cash, wanted to know, is a VFR that much better than a CBR?

@lordcoombs yeah if i can only find em in ontario lol so hard to!
-
@hallal55 yeah thats what my magazines say. Given the choice I would by a 400cc motorbike in this order, RVF, nc29 cbr, vfr, nc23 cbr. or maybe the vfr over all of them.
-
@lordcoombs so vfr has more hp but less torque? and lower seat?
-
The VFR400 NC30 is a V4 engined bike with a single sided swing-arm, slipper clutch and 755mm seat height. I think it makes 59hp and 30lb/ft torque. Its looks are derived from a RC30.
The CBR400 NC23 and NC29 are both inline 4 cylinder bikes. They both make around 57hp and 32lb/ft of torque. The NC23 may have less torque and later NC29s may have less hp due to Honda detune. The NC29 has a seat height of 790mm.
The NC30 has more tech than a NC23 or NC29.

@lordcoombs what is diff between vfr and cbr

Thanks for your opinion. If I can find a VFR in my area I'll probably get one.

not really man, i have a vfr and have raced a rvf.. he got away till about 4th gear then i just reeled him in in 5th and 6th they have more mid range where as the vfr has top end.. the only bad thing about the vfr is trying to get tyres for the back wheel but that can be solved by getting rvf wheel which is a 17inch
whats that sound when u rev it up?

Nice bike. I have just bought one with the Silkolene racing paintwork. Am doing my test in the next month or so so that i can get it on the road as it hasnt been used for over 2 and a half years!!! And like somebody said below, dont rev it that soon to starting it!! you should let it run on idle for about 5 minutes to make sure it has warmed up nicely!
