The TubeTone™ effect was originally introduced on TC Electronic's RH450. Most transistor designs try to replicate tube sound using one small preamp tube, but why not take the crucial characteristics of a full preamp and power amp into account? Both are essential to the sound when you want that classic tube warmth as well as when you go for a full-on overdriven rock sound with a massive punch!

  • @SweepyLOTW HAH! I AGREE!! I didn't even read your review before I added my comment and I said the same thing. Funny and I am a bassist of 25+ years. I love Trace Elliot stuff, though I always like to keep an eye open for new stuff.

  • That distortion sounds like someone FARTING!

  • That's good, but real tube amps is something else.

  • @Animatronica; I am absolutly right with Sweepylotw.

Because most of tube amps does not sound like farts. And the Tone of tube amps is not a overdrive tone!

  • @SweepyLOTW You obviously have no taste.

  • i'm no bassist, but that tone really does sound like fart when you add more "tube" sound. If that is what a bass sounds through a tube amp, i'm sticking with solid state...... Just sayin'

  • nice :)
