Strasburg Railroad: August 13, 2009: Riding Behind GWR #90 (Part 1)

That's right! We take you for ANOTHER train ride on America's oldest and most popular tourist line!

This time, American Rail Videos takes you onboard the 5:00 PM train, pulled by Ex-Great Western #90, an 187 ton 2-10-0 Decapod, the only steam locomotive of her type currently operating in America! The engine crew in charge of #90 today are Rick and Richie.

In this video/part of our ride, our train will depart Strasburg and we will continue downhill, and pass Cherry Hill without stopping, since there are no half hour trains past 1:30 PM. There, we will pass the heavily visited Groff's picnic grove, packed with tourists.

They do not run a 5 PM train. I was in my truck eating lunch when you went by me. I think it was taken on the 11 or 12th because I was not there on the 13th. Still enjoyed you recording.

@patt30521111 Not currently... It's not the summer schedule yet. In the summer, the schedule is: 11, 11:30, 12, 12:30, 1, 1:30, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7. Yes, there is a 5 PM train.
