"I tell the patients that they're usually 85 to 90% recovered at six weeks." Doctor Thomas P. Sculco, Surgeon-in-Chief at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, speaks about the recovery timetable for most patients. Doctor Sculco also notes how patients usually have a nearly complete recovery, allowing them to return to most pre-surgery activities and sports.

Anyone who is going to, or already has had a THR, please let me know how it goes. I have RA & am seeing the surgeon next month. Kind of apprehensive, but due to the miserable pain of this hip, not to mention not being able to lift my leg, tripping and falling, over and over, it'll be nice to have a joint that works again. As I said, I would like to hear about how it went for those who have went through this already. Thanks!

I'm about to get THR, likely within 2 to 3 weeks from now (after Thanksgiving but before Christmas), so I'm researching as fast as I can, but I'm getting contradicting info. Some say NO weight on my leg for 4 to 6 weeks.
I guess I'll soon find-out huh? I'm 43 yrs old. Thanks for the Video's!
