  • Thanks for posting, i just dont like all the jazz in the flute, but whatever

  • I agree. Ray was always simple, and thus sublime.

  • With Norda the band went from 2nd rate flute to first rate.

You not have a clue what Jazz is.

("i just dont like all the jazz in the flute")

She is classically trained. She's throwing in a few Blues licks but her tone and support are all strong. I guess someone who is actually competent on their instrument scares a lot of Rock fans but I love it.

The MB were getting pretty stale and needed the fresh blood.

  • As a long time and hard core MB fan I think Norda does just swell! Nice to see she's getting her "sea legs" and can relax enought to to a bit of improvision.....

  • plays a lovely flute ...... not that jazzy ..... have to improvise every so often

  • This is one of my favorite songs, I love to watch Justin play this song on his guitar, Norda plays beautiful.

  • One of Norda's breathtaking performances.

Fortunately Ray Thomas has left the group: Norda Mullen (1960), a true Moodie!

  • I miss Ray very much too but Norda did quite an admirable job on flute.

  • Saw them in Scranton, PA last night. Breathtaking performance. It's not the same w/o Ray on stage but the lady (and new drummer) can play that flute and makes a good addition to the band. Also like their use of two drummers. Adds a little more to the percussion section. Overall the additions really bring them closer to have an orchestra without all the expense. Sounds Great!!
