verizon sells the the internet card? and then u buy a portable router and you plug in the card to the router and you get a portable hotspot? lol sorry im really new to these things and im trying to figure it all out. i might end up buying these things if my new apartment has no local wifi

What you are seeing that looks beat up is the Protective Plastic Coating that is on there to prevent it from getting beat up. This is removable is you so choose.
