In this tutorial, instructor Danny Grady explains how to use "Drop D" tuning to create the heavier guitar riffs used throughout rock. Using more advanced left and right hand technique, this tutorial is ideal for intermediate-level players. • Cool

  • Drop G tuning will be sufficient.

  • most bands tune half a step down now

  • @brt927 oh wow seriously lol i nvr knew his name lol and i use to like switchfoot too

  • @marrag1 That is the lead singer from switchfoot roflcopter

  • i almost thought it was Billie Joe Armstrong for a second,

  • i have a tuner, but everytime i tune it down from the 6th string(E) it just goes to 7 B

is that what its supposed to look like on the tuner?

  • I just want to say thanks for pointing out that when you change the E string to sound like the 4th string D, it should be the same pitch as d but an octave lower. At first, I was trying to make the E string sound exactly like the 4th string d. This may seem like common sense to those who are more experienced but for beginners, not so. Thanks again.

  • easier way just use the 6th string 7th fret to tune.

it shuld sound like 5th string open. that's how u get drop d faster. instead.

  • the guy at the end sings alot like the singer from switchfoot
