How fast were these locos travelling? I'm sure it was the 25mph limit they have on the line, but it looks a lot faster!

Half the locos don't have speedos anyway :)

In those days I suppose you didn't have the HMRI doing speed checks on the line compared to these days. It's a pity really.

I can't see these locos being back on the main line in a hurry. However, 75069 is due to be overhauled ASAP once 43106 is complete. 7819- there's an appeal from the SVR rolling stock trust to overhaul this loco. I've never seen 7819 or 75069 steam on the SVR but have seen them steam on the Cambrian at Talerddig and Welshpool when I was small.

Great videos, 5 Stars! It would be great to get both of them steaming again and back on the main line!

One of the best examples of keeping stock to their original vintage look! And a mixture locos!

Steve, thought you may like to see this one I made earlier. Bob

Since I dug this one out and saw it again, I did have a sneaky suspicion it might have been a little over 25mph...;-)
Strangely enough, it's one of the many clips I don't specifically remember filming, and I never thought it was anything out of the ordinary.....until recently!
