This is a follow up video to :

This video proves the cut in the bottle will actually seal enough to hold water for a long time WITHOUT any sealant.

  • I've been watching these, and I have to ask: if you're going to cut the top off, why do you want to reseal it to hold water?

  • @candymoonxstars In case you change your mind:-) Kidding, actually people have used them for fundraiser auction items. They get bottles, cut them and fill with golf balls, stuffed animals etc. Then take a small piece of ribbon in and a bow to cover the seam or cut the bottom off and mount to a base that covers the seam. People flip out trying to figure out how they did it. Turns a $1 stuffed toy and a scrap bottle into a $20 bidding item (or so I am told:-)

  • So where is the link to the bottle cutter?

  • @lamanordu watch?v=sFXngPx3w3M also there is a link on our website.

  • Thanks for your advice. I was careful not to cut anywhere twice. Maybe the water was too hot. I'll try again. I've always wanted to be able to do this.

  • You should not hear the glass "tink" from stress, too much heat. You will only see a light change at the score line, almost hard to notice if done with the right temperature. Thinner glass, less heat. Do one small area then work the crack around.

  • @thepinupgirl Universal score, not depth. Single score creates the weak 'link' in the glass. Practice scoring and cutting broken glass, glass cutter & breaker/grozer pliers is all you need, and the world is full of broken glass, look at what you got! The best video I've seen is the guy who scores with a regular glass cutter ONCE then uses a mini torch then grinds the glass smooth, I've got a roto-zip that I'd use. Look at some stained glass videos. Heavy hand? No, not with glass. ;¬)

  • SO THATS HOW YOU GET A SHIP IN A BOTTTLE

  • There is a Mac Pro in the background 2:00

  • I watched your first video and it enticed me to get your cutter as I have a ton of bottles i wasnt able to recycle so i figured to turn them into candles. I noticed that the first two i did were neat on one side and broke uneven on the other. Is this because i didnt score the glass with enough pressure? I know you said you dont have to score it over and over but does it need to have heavy hand pressure for the intial score?

  • Who Cares

  • u need a job u have to much time on your hands brother

  • what the fuck are you trying to get at?

  • it lost water because it evaporated through the top. :-)

  • More yammering.

  • haha , ultimate comedy at the end .

U don't need to cut bottles , u need to weld them in a line off 20 at lest , and u get a solar hot water tank and collector in a same time . am thinking bake 2 bottles in a Owen for 20 min , take the button of one and head off other one , and 2 torches should melt and connect those two. repeating this u get cheapest solar hot water in the world .
