Whether you're a Giants or a Patriots supporter for the 2012 Super Bowl, you can be sure to impress your friends she you ad these simple, easy superbowl themed cupcakes to your munchies menu!
HINT - if you can't find the candy (clinkers) you could also use chocolate fudge, and roll it into a football shape!
A great tutorial for even most novice baker, requiring NO fancy decorating tools or equipment. Team them up with our Super Bowl Cake Pops (including Footballs and Hot Dogs!) to make a delicious dessert selection for your guests.

  • do you mind letting me know exactly what site you printed the flags from. Thanks! love the video!

  • @gataylor100 - Hi, sorry, I'm not sure. I just did a google image search for "New York Giants Flag" & "New England patriots Flag" and it cam up on the first page. The size I printed them is approx 1" high and 2.5" wide. Hope this helps :)

  • how did you get the flags for the cupcakes

  • @chefmalek123 - See above reply. I just found the images on google and printed them at home. Then I stuck them too lollypop sticks. :)

  • Love this idea so much but dont have access to the candy and DONT KNOW ANYTHING about Fondant so I was thinking that I could use Tootsie rolls and soften them up a bit in the microwave and mold them into Footballs!..Hey, what ever works..right? lol... about the buttercream frosting..I tried making it and I must be doing somthing wrong because mine isnt even workable and yours is perfect:( -Angie

  • @nkr1695 Angie, make sure you are mixing the butter till it is really light and fluffy. If the frosting is too sloppy, add an extra cup of icing sugar. It doesn't matter if you add the extra icing sugar at the end or in the middle. Clinkers are an Australian candy - Chocolate Fudge would be perfect to mould, but if you do try the tootsie roll idea, i'd love to know if it works!
