  • @suiramx that is true, in fact tsd presents numerous similarities with kung fu as karate does, I was informing about the existence of different schools of thinking and INTERPRETATION of the forms, not saying that Moo duk kwan is necesserily better because it became the largest martial art organisation in Korea before Choi. Most important I wanted to specify that taekwondo is not Tang soo do as it is simplified and more sport oriented.

  • @circacheese Until a person is born with three arms and four legs, there will be no real difference in styles. Forms aren't that big of a deal. Nor does it matter how complicated the forms are. What matters is what the individual practitioner chooses to do with what they learn from their martial art. One lesson to learn is this... There is no ultimate or best style. There is no right or wrong way. It's about finding your own way that works for you.

  • @CoreyTa22 that's not true there are different "kwans" or "schools", in japanese "ryu" that survived the taekwondo unification. Moo duk kwan among the others. Forms have different interpretations and are tought differently as they are korean "ryu"s of "chinese-hand method"(kara-te do,tang-so do). Taekwondo has less and far less complicated forms than Tang soo do.

  • @CoreyTa22 It's all about self expression. At the end of the day, there is no real difference in the styles.

  • @Abloo1903 there is no KIND or TYPE of tang soo do like there is in kung fu(dragon, tiger, snake) and karate(shotokan, kyokushin, kenpo). there's just tang soo do. tang soo do is basically tae kwon do if that helps at all

  • @Xenik21 Good point.

  • @ofomatheblackbelt

Karate is Japanese... you also have to think that the Japanese did occupy Korea at one point in history. This is also when the Japanese incorporated a lot of they techniques into the Moo-Duk-Kwon styles. So if it looks very Karate-ish, then it probably does have Karate techniques into it.

  • @suiramx a lot of people are calling it tang soo do karate is it a style of karate or not i'm confused

  • The Korean kind. I don't fully understand the question. lol!

  • What style of Tang Soo Do do you Take ?
