I was surprised when I saw my friend Tommy playing with only Liam that it was because all of Liam's brothers had passed away. Tommy just never talked about and I never asked. R.I.P. both Tommy and Liam. Now they are all together now playing to a different audience or maybe some of their old fans. Fred Miles

I do this in this tempo, always surprises people as they expect a pacy version, but get's a great response as a ballad, lovely song

Mr Clancy served Irish music very well indeed. This excellent American composition is sung in the local Irish folk spirit. It would even tempt a fellow to try a cover version, with just a tiny increase in tempo.
The idea will be given some thought.
Romantic and one with which we can all associate when we were young handsome and invulnerable.

Nice writing by Bill Staines but this is my favourite version by a long way.
