  • trburkholder...the stand alone budget total isn't the core issue, it is that taxes are being raised without a substantial decrease in spending. Businesses and taxpayers move out, you have less money than you had before. Read up on the Rust Belt.

  • Mr. Welch, you expect us to react to the $19.7 billion budget as if it were an aberration and an abomination. Governor Rell proposed an $18.8 billion budget for FY 2010 and a $19.5 billion for FY 2011 so $19.7 billion seems to be a reasonable balance of significant cuts in growth of the budget and increases in revenue.
