This is a video of one of the many visits I had to the SM Mall of Asia located in Pasay City, Philippines. The mall is considered to be one of the largest malls in the world. I wasn't really able to film much of the inside of the mall, but the newest attraction of the mall was the San Miguel By the Bay, a long stretch of park at the back of the mall complete with entertainment, restaurants, etc. with a very beautiful view of Manila Bay. It was my first time to see the new bay so without hesitation we went there and toured the park. =) Pasay City, Philippines April 14, 2009

  • OK what does SM stand for? Not the sexual SM people get your minds out the gutter. So nice seeing a Wendy's o 1:24 of this video. My sister-in-law worked at one here in the states. So there is such thing as human hamsters. I mean on 2:44 of this video.

  • @Hanssen69 - well, for what I know, SM stands for ShoeMart. It originally was just a shoe mart when it started, but it eventually became so big and successful that the owner decided to make a mall out of it, and let other stores sell their stuff. :D

  • @Hanssen69 This is the real answer: SM stands for Shoemart. The company started as a small shoe store in Quiapo, Manila and became a department store in 1967 and finally a mall in 1985 starting with SM City North EDSA. We have 43 SM malls here in the Philippines.
