My sister took me to the movie, in the early 70's, and I still remember how much I enjoyed it. I actually fell in love with Melody!
The movie was a big hit in Japan, too.

My all-time favourite film, first seen on TV about 1988. Tried hard to get a video copy - even wrote to Sheila Steafel (Danny's mum) for help. Had a nice letter back saying she used to have a copy but didn't know where it was. Then I pestered some guy in London whose company owned the film until in desperation to get rid of me he sent a rough copy (with the running time going continuously along the top of the screen). Now that the tape is almost worn out I'm delighted to have the DVD at last!

I love Jack Wild I first saw him in Oliver in third grade and thought he was cute and when I heard he died I was sad but now that I am a teenager I realized how hot he really is and is one of my biggest celebrity crushes and I cry whenever I watch any of his movies RIP Jack Wild I will always love you

I admire this movie so much I knew the bee gees and became a big fan of them by this wonderful movie the character jack wild played was very charming

i was six when i saw this movie in my village's cinema (NOW GONE THE WAY OF THE DODO).....it..was a movie that stayed in my head, and from the looks of things, \i was not alone. Great film.

'Melody' is finally out on DVD in the UK, it's Region 2 PAL system, widescreen and is a very good print. It's available from Amazon, etc. The one extra on the disk is a UK cinema trailer which lasts 3 mins 25 seconds, and is one which I hadn't seen prior to this disk. An excellent movie now more readily available.
