  • RE; Universal healthcare for all prior post.Doctors’ fees, hospital fees etc. would of course be negotiated just like prescription drug prices. All of the people that now work in the for profit health insurance industry could transition into patient advocates that monitor health progress and give advice to help the patient get the best possible treatment. Of course that would mean no more cash cow for the investors that help drive up the cost as shareholders,

  • Sometimes the best solution for everyone is the simple one. Universal healthcare for all is the simple solution. How do we pay for it? It should be paid for via a progressive tax system. The only part of it that needs to be placed into the control of a federal government agency is the collection and payment of fees. The simple solution would be for everyone to pay a percent of their earnings starting at perhaps 5 %. This could be graduated to 8-10 % on a progressive scale that matched earning.

  • Wonder if Foster would feel this way if he were a poor black man with no healthcare?

  • Foster presents a thoughtful and deliberate argument against current health care bill, which is very credible. It's great to see the captioning feature!
