Rod Stewart's best ever

@Akshay8585 Yeah! But, Beck has been known for being a turd at times. Rod is probably no different!
This is the best version of this song. Rod's voice and the Beck's guitar are awesome

Actually, I think he peaked with The Rod Stewart Album (US) / An Old Raincoat Won't Ever Let You Down (UK), with death throes with Stay With Me (Faces) and Gasoline Alley. After that, he became Barry Manilow.
Shame, really.

Rod Stewart at the peak of his career. Jeff Beck does things with his guitar on this album that defy description. IMHO, this is undoubtedly among the top ten classic rock albums of all time.

bonnie so wrote this song..like tim rose's version but he has no right or did to claim he wrote it....so sad he calls himself a folk singer....he stole her lyric and song and that is not at all about being a folk artist.....

I'Ve been looking for this song for years! I thought I was crazy and just imagined it, that he really didnt do it. Well I am crazy, but was right about this! Thanks! David
Bonnie Dobson wrote it.

@wolverine84 Through a loophole in US copyright law, Rose was able to claim royalties. Dobson has consistently questioned Rose's right to a co-writing credit. So there you go. He' a co-writer for the song.
