Because people don't want their hearts ripped out when the birthmother in the U.S. comes back and says they want their child after the adoptive parents have had the baby for a month.

Every child deserves a loving home and it really doesn't matter how these babies ended up in an orphanage. What's more important is that these babies now have a family that would love and take care of them. That is the bottome line.

No matter how many times I have watched videos like this I always end up crying my eyes out lol. I hope one day soon I can adopt.

I've read Modest Proposal, that has nothing to do with this. You know full well that babies are stolen from their birth parents. You couldn't give a damn. Why not? Because you get what you want. And that's all that matters to the corrupt. The better idea I have is to stop accepting babies when you don't know or care where they come from. To prosecute those who engage in child trafficking. Your "modest proposal" is to steal babies from the poor and sell them to the rich.

...Yes, the evils of adoption, maybe we should just start euthanizing them?!...Seriously? Ok, maybe someone out there is making money from this, and the babies often have identity issues...Do you have a better idea? The intent is genuine, solving two problems at the same time, babies need homes and couples want children. You should read "A Modest Proposal" by Jonathan Swift, he had some alternative ideas...
CPSSucks: Obviously you have issues with adoption; this isn't the forum for sharing them. The child in this video is my daughter. Period. How she came to be our daughter and what we know of her history is no one's business but ours. Does trafficking and kidnapping happen? Absolutely. Do we sanction it? NO! Are we choosing to look the other way to get what we want? Not at all! We did our research and felt comfortable with our daughter's situation before bringing her home. MYO B

Sorry to take so long to answer. We were DTC July 25, 2005 and she was handed to us November 13, 2006. From DTC to referral was 14 months though.
