  • You are truly an inspiration! You are indeed using your talents to further the world of simulator aviation. I see on you left console, behind the throttle, you have a 17 key Num Pad. I have a question about that. Do those keys follow the same assignments as the main num pad, or have you come up with a way to make the computer recognize different keyboards? Just wondering, because I am currently building a simulator somewhat like your PACS simulator, and I would like to have a lot of keys! Thanx!

  • Thank you, glad you like my work. That's a great question you asked about the keypad. It actually only serves one purpose, it's for the TrackIR. The pilot presses the "Center" key on the keypad when he first starts a flight and centers the view. Normally I have the "Center" key assigned to a key on the keyboard mod...but you can't see the keyboard mod when wearing the virtual reality helmet.

  • How do you see the modified keyboard and the "Virtual Reality" display at same time?

  • Yes, that was indeed a problem.

  • matt,

what combat sim you using these day?

  • IL2 1946. I'm flying online on Hyperlobby.

  • I wonder can you use the XBOX kinect for a IR sensor?

  • I really enjoyed the entire series. I'm really curious what your thoughts are about making a sim that gives roll. Just living vicariously through you a bit. :)

  • you've done a great job, been following your work.. keep it up!

  • Man, I'd love to fly in this thing!
