The new Suzuki GSX-R600 is MCN's supersport class leader. It dominated our supersport shootout in France, but now it has a new rival - the Triumph Daytona 675R.

  • @SgtDamien ah fair enough, yeah i will admit the gsxr is a very popular bike, i know someone that has an r6 and he said its possibly the most comfertable to ride, its nice and collected but you poke it with a stick and it will go mental haha, but yeah, if your wanting a track day bike, i gues the daytona is the way to go, personally i think im gonna go with a gsxr 750, just coz i do some resnobly long distance but wanna have fun too, maybe if i have the money some up grades will come :P

  • @nara94 right now my dream sub-litre bike is the Daytona 675r haha. i guess thats why people say like R6s arent very street friendly becuase of this. idk no offence but the Gixxer 750 to me has this reputation of being a squid bike lol. dont get me wrong Gixxers are great all around bikes but i just feel they arent very original and i see them alot... i ride a F4i and there are 2 gixxers in my (small) neighborhood a 600 and a 750 =P i do wana get on a track someday and ill do it on a daytona =)

  • @SgtDamien yes your right, the GSXR has a better mid range, so thats why i personally think that the triumph is amazing if your constantly wanting to be at the track or "spirited riding" but the GSXR, for me would be better to live with... i mean its like nice and you can have a little cruse along and have power down low, but its still a machine :), and you cant forget about the GSXR 750 :)

  • now im not exactly a genius when it comes to power bands and power ranges and stuff, but since the GSXR has more mid range wouldnt that just mean you'd have to keep the 675 more wound up? thats all? different bikes have different powerbands at different RPMs so i dont think that should make a difference in overall power output. if im wrong, please correct me on this i wana learn =)

  • the winer is the TRIUMPH DAYTONA 675 R! is amazing bike more powerful engine, more lighter, better brakes ( Brembo 4-piston radial mono-block) and very very beautiful!

  • @oobeedoob Triumph are right up there with reliability now. I have owned a newish Suzuki and I watched it corrode in front of my eyes. Fantastic engine the rest of the bike is very poor.

  • One thing they didn't mention is Suzuki's far superior reliability.

  • Daytona <3

  • but my 675R beat both the Gixxer 6 and 750

  • the gsxr 750 would be better than both
