This is exactly what Madina Lake have done here.

Tis is an incredible cover, giving a new strenght to this song, really nice job.

gotta say this cover is an utter steaming turd a cover is is at least meant to be a recogniseable version of the original track , you could play pretty much any maiden track and i could tell you the album and song title but this i'd never have guessed with out the title and lyrics

This is actually a very good song. Although its not true to Iron Maiden, you can definitely tell its inspired by the original. Good job boys!

A cover can be a copy of the original but the best ones bring something new by whoever is doing the cover IMHO. I think this is a good interpretation of a fantastic song and, for me, I think Madina have done a really good job. If I want to hear it done how Maiden wrote it, I'll listen to Somewhere In Time.
