James Jarvis was born in London in 1970.
Jarvis studied at the University of Brighton and at the Royal College of Art and has worked for international clients including Sony, and Nokia. His exhibitions include one-man shows in Tokyo, Nagoya and Hiroshima.
In 1998, Jarvis created the plastic toy figure 'Martin' as a promotional item for Silas, a London-based fashion company, unwittingly helping to kick-start the 'Designer Toy' phenomenon.
Jarvis subsequently created a dedicated toy company.
Most recently Amos published the comic book adventure story 'Vortigern's Machine', co-written with Russell Waterman.

A story that stages strange and funny protagonists, toys, a mark of Jarvis' creativity
