(continued) bandage skirts for around 60-80 bucks! These are timeless investment pieces that will go with EVERYTHING, and they are very easy to turn into a work skirt or a club/dinner/date/casual skirt, so in the long run you end up saving money, instead of having a bunch of cheap skirts that will wear out over time. This was very helpful though, for girls just starting to get into the trend. You have a fun attitude and the rest of your tips were good too! Nice job!

I'm gonna have to disagree with your first tip. The whole point of the bandage skirt/dress trend is to celebrate the female form, and getting a knock off like the ones I've seen at Forever 21 and H&M will only be a waste of money in the long run because the same material isn't being used, so it will wear out faster, so you'll need to buy another, I'm not saying girls should buy the $600+ Herve Leger skirt but there are many sales at Nordstroms and Macy's where you can get the BCBG

@pajamagirl123 LOL. You didn't pay attention to point one, I actually recommend renting Herve Leger or buying one from some brand like BCBG. I totally agree with you, Forever 21 and H&M purchases will be a waste of money. The cheap fabric will NOT look good.

@FashionCents I actually did pay attention. You flat out said "Don't buy the real thing". And you said nothing about buying the BCBG version from dept stores. I said that. You said YOU were going to rent one, which may be the best thing for YOU to do if YOU have an important event coming up and YOU will more than likely only wear the dress once(makes sense for ME).

@pajamagirl123 Thanks for your comments. When I said "Don't buy the real thing" I meant not Herve Leger since it is well in the thousands & my site is Fashion Cents. I did say to buy "knock offs" w/ taut material which is NOT what you will find at Forever 21 or H&M. On the blog post at fashioncents.tv/2011/05/how-to-wear-the-bandage-skirt-or-dress/ I talk about BCBG and the fact that I got the dress I wore in the video for only $69 (BCBG from @ RueLaLa). I hope our dialogue helps someone.

@FashionCents Despite you "LOL-ing" at my initial comment, I hope it helps someone too. The words "bandage" and "bodycon" are used so loosely by companies wanting to cash in on the trend and take advantage of girls who don't know any better and will end up wasting money on cheaply made clothes labeled under a popular category. All this stuff probably could have been included in your video, but I understand you wanting to keep it short so again, I hope our exchange is as helpful as your video.

@pajamagirl123 was just trying to make sure I kept the mood light. I hope the LOL didn't offend.
