Well, in ENGLISH, names rarely follow the language's rules. Actually...English WORDS rarely follow the language's rules. Now, while anyone can pronounce anything the way they choose to, Saiyan should be help in the same regard as say... I dunno... Darth Vader? It should be [vehy-dr], not [fah-dehr] like it's spelt if you're thinking with a German language mindset. That's how I see it anyways.

Anyways, pronunciations don't necessarily change from language to language. In this case, it's taking a Japanese name based off a Japanese word --which is then combined with a Japanese word-- from a Japanese show, and "translates" it into "English". The サイヤ part is made up and should NOT change in pronunciation. The 人 part makes it a race, so it should be translated. Therefore [sahy-yah-jeen] becomes [sahy-yahn]. Though, slurring the last syllable sounds better.
