@bwsaar96 The U.S. already has too many dogs and too little homes to house them.Will you make him live in a shelter? Other countries like "that" may not let their dogs be spoiled like in the U.S., but they are living. This dog seems perfectly fine. In countries like Mexico, Argentina, Iraq, Afghanistan, Guatemala, etc. dogs aren't abused to death. They are simply left alone. There are no crying toddlers to strangle them, no ignorant teenagers, they are LEFT ALONE. They aren't better off, but ok.

@SeanTheSavvy um incorrect, read whatever you want, we are the people who gave the Iraqis a fighting chance toward freedom.

I know what I would do. I would take the pup with me, bring him to Lackland AFB, where he/she would go through MWD training, then I would partner with him when I go back to Afganistan and that dog would have home turf advantage.

@MsNativeghost Very cool.
I can't watch these videos anymore, I cannot see such a beautiful animal left in a country like that. I hope he was able to be brought here to the US. He does look like a German Shepard, and believe it or not he looks like a pure bred with his short snout and big ears.... what a beautiful dog.

Did you end up bringing him home? it is possible through Puppy Rescue Mission, look them up on Facebook or on the web...it's all volunteer donors, they ask you come up with as much as you can, but the bulk of the cost is taken care of by them, they fly the dog home and transport it to where ever it needs to go...you don' t have to leave them behind...
