  • hao quai! I mean, how fast you are! Good one, Henry. - guì

  • @yueguishu You meant "hao kuai" I think. Thanks!

  • can you look at my painting and maybe translate for me its in video response

  • @warwolf62 马到成功 which reads from right to left "Horse - Arrive - Success - Achievement" It is a CHinese phrase which literally means "Gain an immediate victory" because the Character 马 or "horse" also means "at once" here, so it often used as "wishing you a success in your business" on gift painting.

  • how many years have you been studying this?

do you use a photo reference?

how do you plan the composition? or is it just spur of the moment?

  • @yourfisharemine From the age of 15, now I am 50. Yes, I do use photos as references. I also spent lots of time study master pieces from both ancient and modern times. That is the key to this type of traditional art.

  • As I watched this, I was drawing a horse myself. Only, I use pencils. I'm completely hopeless with a paintbrush. Nice job! The heads are kind of skinny, but this is really good. Keep up the good work!
