PIC/Central Line insert at hospital.

This is a video of a pic line being inserted when I went to the hospital. Sorry bout the moving around at first: as it can be a violation of the Hippa laws (Dr. - Patient confidentiality), medical procedures aren't fully allowed. However, since I am the patient my rights aren't being violated. But I still had to pretend I was playing a game on my G2 so they wouldn't ask me to stop if they saw me.

The part that was missed wasn't big, but ill explain what's goin on
They couldn't find a good vein when I was hospitalized (I have Sickle Cell, thus admittded to ICU a few times a year for 19/my 22 years age), so I asked for a pic since ill be here around 2weeks & these r durable for up to 4-6 mos.
Instead of just poking a needle into my vein per usual since they're collapsed/roll, they use more exact ways:

1. I'm given a local anesthetic to my bicept.
2. They run a live x-ray/MRI combo to find my vein
3. A slit is cut into my skin exposing the vein
4. Theyput a hollow needle lead into my vein
5. A tube slighly more open than IVs (around 4mm diameter)
6. The roughly 1 1/2 ft cath is guided through the vein then stopped directly in front of my heart ventricle. ( they don't go all the way in, bc everytime the heart beats it would pinch the tube).
7. The metal IV guide is removed, leaving only the plastic IV tubing, which can stay well over the regular IV life of around 4 days
8. A one way access port is attashed to the tip so my fluids (saline) & pain meds can go in but the blood won't escape/clot the tubing shut.

9. I get hydrated, pain put under control, recover, & go home, central, central line
