@Coreybygodjeffers15 actually temple of the dog was just a little side project for both PJ and SG. pearl jam was already formed. and PJ came from Mother Love Bone. It became Pearl Jam shortly after Eddie Joined.

@axel4clover1 Pearl Jam is my favorite band ever. I don't think that having dark lyrics makes you alternative. Alice in Chains doesn't have enough punk influence to be grunge in my opinion, but I guess it is kinda up for interpretation.

@fighterboy10 pearl jam if u listen to the lyrics is too dark not to be alternative, alice is grunge metal, i mean i really don't care about the label of em i just like to know there influences, and hear it, i love alice in chains by the way, and nirvana changed me into a better person
