Infantry Team Trophy match fired at the Panola County Gun Club May 3, 2008. Three-man teams shooting at four targets exposed for 50 seconds at 600, 500, 300 and 200 yards. Someone has to shoot two targets. Each team member has 64 rounds. Four points a hit at 600, three points a hit at 500, two points a hit at 300 and one point per hit at 200. 600 and 500 are shot prone. 300 is shot sitting and 200 is shot standing if needed. Each target that has at least six hits is "squared" for bonus points at each yardline. (3 targets with 6+ hits = 3x3 bonus points, 4 targets with 6+ hits = 4X4 bonus points.) We cubed instead of squared because of the half teams. At the National Matches at Camp Perry, we shoot full six-man teams at eight targets.
Usually no mats downrange, but the rain had just quit.
Team Blackfork won with a 713, followed by Oklahoma ORA Blue at 687 and Piney Hills with 598. Blackfork and ORA Blue both failed to square the targets at 300.
