  • The poem to the painting is something like this: I walked down the road with two friends - The sun was setting I felt a sudden breath of wistfulness- The sky sudden turned into bloody red I stopped, leaned to the fence Food for the death- watched the flaming skies as they were blood and swords over the blue and dark fjord and city- My friends went on- I just stood there, shivering in fear- and felt as a giant endless scream throughout nature
