The siren amp's airhorn is much more effective then the vehicle's factory equipped horn. I often have to travel through a large metro area to get to where I need to go and Wail is TOO familiar a sound to use throughout an entire run. At some point an officer needs to change his tone generally differentiating between Wail and Yelp. I use HF because I find Piercer effective when clearing intersections (echoes). Most people here are worried more about making that light then moving out of your way.

Honestly my favorite siren i hear is the powercall because i can hear it coming out of the station. And i live quite a way away from it!
if i was a volinteere fire fighter, and i wanted to own this and put it on my OWN vehicle, would this be legal in north carolina, or would you need a permit

@MedicPoliceFire Confirm that with a local fire chief.

at 4:32 how do you set the siren to that specific tone?

@jsdavis06 There's a push-button located on the back of the unit for set-up.

i was curious to what type this one siren in my comunity is and i figured you may know or someone else would. its pattern is hi hi hi hi low low low low then goes to phaser for 2 seconds, hi low hi low and repeats. Any idea what it is?

@stretchnutz90 it is most likely to be unitrol series siren, they have so called "sweep" mode in which only selected tones would ring and this "sweep" can be locked with a flip of a switch, basically having it to cycle over and over. Look at unitrol siren videos.
