or what I did: make high res picture of stuff behind computer screen, place computer screen make another picture, instead of editing the photo like you said I cropped out the picture till I just got enough to put in the computer screen.
Resize (and warp) the image so it works as a wallpaper, then make a picture from the location it looks best or just put your friend there
