There are so many different mixes of this incredible recording.
This one was used by Richard Lowenstein for the promo video to the song and is very slightly different to the version on the soundtrack, you really have to study the two versions to hear any differences.
The 7" version is of this mix but with two edits, one after the first chorus and one at the end of the song.
The version used on the film is again mixed differently with no reverb on Michael's vocal. Different instrumental mixes are also used at various points during the film.
Richard Lowenstein asked Ollie Olsen to be the musical director for the film Dogs In Space as it centred on the Melbourne punk scene in the late 70's and its 'little bands'.
Ollie offered up this song that he'd written previously, three years later he got back together with Michael to work on a (very underrated) project called Max Q.
Great version, thanks! Miss you Hutch!
