Solace by Scott Joplin

Here's me playing Solace, by Scott Joplin. I'm only playing the second part of the piece, which is the part that most people know from the film The Sting. I haven't got a piano, so I'm using a Yamaha AR-100 organ instead.

It's an amazing organ. Yamaha have made two newer models since, and not even bothered to export them to the UK! Shame on them, because this AR-100 is great!

you play WAY better than i can ever dream of but you are missing the 'feeling' of the music. like making great food, you must put "love" into it. find it,young man!!! find it if you want to be great!!!!!!!!! feel it, damn it!! music is about feeling, not about hitting the right notes!!

To be honest, it's more likely that because I'm playing on an organ (rather than a piano) I can't get it to sound quite right in this particular recording. Also, bear in mind that when this was recorded I'd only been playing the piano for 5 months!
