Captured with my 8mm home movie camera in the early 1970's is Engine 3 responding with firefighters riding on the tailboard. The rig was so under powered that it had a hard time getting over a cigarette butt in the street.

  • whats the difference between running hot and running cold

  • @4106650464 >>>---> Cold - drive obeying all traffic laws with out emergency lights or sirens. Hot - responsing as fast, but safe as possible with emergency lights and siren.

  • i love your videos bud. its a blast from the past. i wish things were the same as they were back in the day. the feeling of riding to a call balls to the wall in a freezing blizzard on the back tail board is un describable. purely undescribable..

  • man i wish i was around to ride tailboard :'(
