  • What do they pay you for that Obama trash?

  • @407ForRent What?

  • @Gungeek The Obama advertisement, prior to your video.

  • @407ForRent I don't get any obama ad when I watch. I live in Canada so why would I care lol.

  • I just recrown the barrels on my refurbs & they stop shooting high. All the refurbs I`ve looked at have the lands & grooves visible @ the top of the crown , but smooth @ the bottom. One refurb shot about 1 ft pattern, about 15 in. high & 10 in. to the right, The rifling was more prominent , in the upper right area of the crown. I had the rifle recrowned. Group was 2 in. & 2 inch high @ 95 yrds, roughly dead on @ 100meters. I never moved the sights.

  • @88byrdboyy Do a vid :)

  • @Gungeek When I get my tax returns I`ll get a camera. I have a few refurbs that need recrowned. It`ll be my first vid.

  • @Gungeek i believe 407ForRent was talking about the ad thats plays before this video . Nice shooting , i think next time i have my 91/30 at the range ill try shooting some groups with the bayonet on .

  • Hello,

I've literally seen hundreds of sights come through here now, and some are 0.325" tall -- the height that will get COM without the bayonet. Most are 0.295" tall, which I suspect is the height of your pins.

Some are around 0.100" tall, or slightly over. They would shoot high regardless.

Most wartime had the 0.295" sights. I cannot swear that the taller sights were not installed during the refurb process.

    Regards,

    Josh at Smith-Sights

  • Haha, that sounds oddly fucked up.

  • Totally flipped the bird when you were counting holes.
